New CPL Franchise

In the latest development from Caribbean cricket, CPL has unveiled Antigua and Barbuda Falcons as the brand new franchise team to join the league from the 2024 edition. The Falcons will 𒁃replace CPL 2022 winner Jamaica Tallawahs which has been disbanded from the league after the 2023 edition. The owners of the Tallawahs citedꦕ sustainability issues as the reason behind it.

Who owns the new CPL franchise?

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons is owned by Worldwide Sports Management Group which organised the team launch event at Sir Vivian Richard🦄s Stadium in North Sound in Antigua. The venue wil🧜l also serve as the home ground of the team.

New Team New Homeground

This will be the second Antigua based team in the CPL after Antigua Hawksbill💃s which participated in the first two seasons. They were replaced by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in th🐈e 2015 edition.

CPL action will be back to Antigua after a gap of a few years and the C꧟aribbean cricketing fans of the island will be thrilled about this development.

What did the owner say?

The new CPL franchise Antigua and Barbuda Falcons is owned by Worldwide Sports Management Group. Guyanese businessman Krishna Persau🤡d is the Founder and Pres𝔉ident of the company.

On unveiling his new CPL team, Persaud said, “The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons will bring a unique energy and vitality to the CPL. We are ready to fly high and conquer what is before us. We want to establish a winner's culture within the team and also a culture of winning and success off the field.”

The Antigua CPL team is set to participate in the upcoming season which is slated t🦂o take place in August 2024.
